the Bellator featherweight title, as Mads Burnell and Adam Borics clash in the main event. The two men are next in line and currently tied for second in the Bellator featherweight standings. The bout will likely determine who is next in line for the title after Bellator 277 when featherweight champion A.J. McKee takes on former champion Patricio “Pitbull” Freire.A fight of such magnitude is going to warrant a lot of eyes on it, especially since Burnell and Borics are among the finer young fighters on the Bellator roster, regardless of weight class.
That’s not all for the show, as former light heavyweight champion Phil Davis tries to get back on track against Julius Anglickas. Anglickas is coming off a loss to Vadim Nemkov. Anglickas was a replacement for Anthony “Rumble” Johnson, who was sidelined with a major illness. Anglickas was having a nice run before the loss to Nemkokv, and will try to right the ship against Davis, who is coming off a win over Yoel Romero.
Like with Borics and Burnell, the winner of Anglickas and Davis will likely get another shot at the light heavyweight title, be it against Nemkov or Corey Anderson; Nemkov’s challenger at Bellator 277.
Also on the main card is finishing master John Salter (17 of his 18 wins are by stoppage), and rising prospect Jay-Jay Wilson. The prelims feature a stud matchup between Derek Anderson and Goti Yamauchi, as well as undefeated prospect Cody Law.
